Source: www.thisislondon.co.uk/arts/music/fin-bush-hall--review-7660270.htmlAgain someone unable to write fiN correctly But he's from the Evening Standard and he loved the gig, so it's all forgiven. ^.^ (Thanks, Paola, for saving me a hard-copy!!) By: David Smyth Fin, Bush Hall - review You don’t often get a laser light show at a venue as intimate as the Bush Hall. Unsigned acts don’t usually offer a big-screen video for every song either but Fin are a small band with big plans. The Wandsworth quartet proved that they had reach beyond that of most new guitar groups in February, when they somehow landed a role as Rihanna’s backing band during her performance at the Brit Awards. Here they fired out a few original songs worthy of the major stages. In a 10-song set the lone cover version — Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads — should have been the biggest signpost to their influences but I heard more of Feeder’s wiry, melodic rock in Twenty Three and the fire of Muse in the grand crescendo of Everybody Dies Alone. Luke Joyce was a watchable singer when he wasn’t deep in the audience, with a black quiff that quickly became dislodged as he juddered around the stage. The fluid feel of It Changes Everything stood out among a succession of bright tunes. There’ll be plenty of time to work out whether that name refers to fish or France, for this is just the beginning for Fin.
