Source: www.britscene.com/2012/01/tune-of-week-fin-rapture-everyone-dies-alone/31120Tune Of The Week – fiNLondon based indie band fiN (with a capital ‘N’) are eager to think outside the box in terms of the way they produce music and the way they distribute it. Having set up shop in an old abandoned house, the band demo’d and rehearsed before settling on their adaptive and exploritory attitudes to their sound while also making sure their music is anthemic for stadium gigging. “There are no rules,” says singer Luke Joyce, “throw away the rulebook. You want to aim as high as you can, and that’s what we’re gonna do. If you aim at ‘impossible’ you’re always going to end up better than if you just aim for somewhere logical.” Singing about celebrating life and remembering good times is a staple to their positive songwriting. The band shy away from the depressing topics of modern day and look to uplift with melodic guitar riffs and catchy hooks. However, this indie band isn’t some Britpop revival, “We’re the heaviest indie band around,” says Luke. “We’re very diverse. It’s light and shade but we’re not afraid of pop music or writing curveballs.” fiN are also planning on releasing their debut album on a series of 7″ vinyls, where digital download is only available via a code that comes with the record. An innovative approach that ties in nicely with their mission. Check out their new double A-side single Everybody Dies Alone & Rapture which is out this month and see what you think.
